Exo Terra Bioactive Dart Frog Terrarium (local pickup only)

The Exo Terra BioActive Terrarium is a meticulously designed habitat, crafted by European herpetologists, with the intention of creating an ideal tropical environment. It is particularly well-suited for setting up bioactive planted habitats for a range of small amphibians, reptiles, and snakes such as dart frogs, tree and reed frogs, newts, salamanders, geckos, and garter or grass snakes. The terrarium features a full glass construction that provides excellent visibility and allows maximum light penetration. It incorporates a built-in drain, accompanied by tubing, an elbow-connector, and a tap valve, enabling convenient water changes and excess water removal. The single front glass door ensures an immersive viewing experience while allowing easy access to the interior. The terrarium's patented dual ventilation system prevents condensation on the front door even in humid conditions, promoting optimal air circulation. Furthermore, excess heat is dissipated through the top mesh, preventing temperature imbalances. The mesh also facilitates the penetration of UV and infrared light. The bottom of the terrarium is waterproof when the drain components are properly connected, allowing hassle-free maintenance. The enclosure boasts locks for security and a hinged, lockable cover that can be fully opened. Included accessories are a bottom drain, tubing, elbow-connector, tap valve, and a photographic background. The terrarium is made of glass and comes in a black color. Its dimensions are 18 inches (45 cm) in length, width, and height.

Includes bottom drain, 1.2m tubing, elbow-connector and tap valve.

TERRARIUM DRAIN -INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Attach the outflow tube to the bottom drain nut. Hold the drain nut in place in the pre-drilled hole and measure where to place the elbow fitting to allow for adequate water flow. Cut the pipe at the correct location to install the elbow fitting. Unscrew the nut from the elbow fitting and slide it onto the pipe. Insert the tubing to one end of the elbow fitting, as far as possible, and tighten the retaining nut by hand, until resistance is felt. Repeat the previous steps with the second nozzle and hose. Screw the faucet valve nut further to the threaded portion and insert the tubing to the faucet valve inflow spigot as far as possible. Tighten the nut again by hand until resistance is felt. Clean the glass wall around the predrilled hole of the terrarium. To ensure a proper seal, the glass surface must be free of dust and debris. Place the bottom drain nut with gasket in the pre-drilled hole in the terrarium and screw it to the drain by hand inside the terrarium until resistance is felt.

CAUTION: Make sure the drain, fitting and faucet valve are properly installed and screwed in before performing a leak test. Fill the terrarium with water to the desired level and then check for leaks. If there are still no leaks after 24 hours, proceed with setting up the terrarium.
